Sainte Foy Tarentaise is an ideal terrain for mountain biking or V.A.E. (electrically assisted bicycle) "Cross-country", in the most natural and wildest site in the region, near the Parc de la Vanoise.
In family or expert mode, hikes along forest roads and alpine trails will reveal extraordinary panoramas.
The routes vary from ten kilometers over half a day to around forty kilometers over the day.
From July 2 until Friday August 26, the Grand Plan chairlift gives you quick and free access to Plan Bois (1800m).

- Circuit "discovering the villages of Haute Tarentaise": departure from the hamlets of Le Miroir or Mazure, 30km, +955m of elevation gain
- Circuit "discovering the authentic listed village of Monal": departure from Sainte Foy resort, Bonconseil, 12.6 km, +480 m of positive elevation gain

CYCLING
When it comes to cycling, Sainte Foy is no exception ! The town is ideally located, at the crossroads of the most beautiful passes in the Alps :
- Petit Saint Bernard pass : this is one of the most pleasant passes to climb but also challenging from Sainte Foy Chef Lieu ! Take the D84 towards the hamlets of La Mazure and Le Miroir. You cross the many small hamlets of the pretty little town of Montvalezan. Arrive at Chatelard, you take the famous pink route of the Tour de France ! You then catch up with the D1090, a very pleasant road with its hairpin bends. 7km after the resort of La Rosière, you finally arrive at your destination: the Col du Petit St Bernard, located at an altitude of 2188m. This variant has passages between 8 and 9.5%, over a total distance of 16km.
- Cormet de Roselend :
From Sainte Foy Chef Lieu, reach the plain of Viclaire via the D902: perfect terrain for warming up.
After about ten kilometres, you arrive at Bourg-Saint-Maurice. At the roundabout opposite the station, head towards Les Chapieux, Cormet de Roselend. It is a very nice ascent of 20km with an elevation gain of 1183km that awaits you, with an average gradient of 6.1%. An unmissable pass with a breathtaking view of the glaciers!
- Col de l'Iseran :
From Sainte Foy Chef Lieu, reach the plain of Viclaire via the D902: perfect terrain for warming up.
